There are 20 home groups operating at Darling Street Anglican Church. The majority of these meet weekly in people's homes, with about 6-10 people per group. They meet to study the Bible, pray, and support each other. Home groups can also play an active part in our regular meetings together. The home groups serve the church by doing morning teas, suppers and welcoming. A high percentage of the church meets in home groups. When people indicate they would like to be part of a home group, the first step is to join a Newcomers' Group. These are held each term for 4-6 weeks. During that time, people are introduced to the Vision of Darling Street Anglican Church, hear about a number of the ministries, have a Bible study and get to know each other better. At the end of the Newcomers' Group, people are then in a better position to decide whether they would like to be a member of a home group within this church.
